9/4/2026 Creekside Park (Ala.)
Sep. 4th, 2026 01:07 pmThe Kid's in town but suffering from a post-WorldCon cold so I hadn't seen him yet and was not sure when I would. But since first thing in the morning seemed unlikely, I went to Creekside for a while. Neither of the recent unusual birds made an appearance, and there was generally very little of interest, but I know there will be as migration gets going. Most exciting thing was hearing a species I'd not heard there before, Pygmy Nuthatch, and most fun was watching a Western Flycatcher flitting about in exactly the tree where I've come to expect one. ( A very short list: )
So, nice to be out but not much to see.
